I haven't figured out if you can always put the phone on 'privacy' but I wish it would. I have a small law office and we currently have three lines for four employees. We have one of these phones in each of the offices, reception, and the conference room. I also wish it had caller ID, but I didn't want to pay for the upgraded phone that included it. The phones work well and I'm overall pleased with the purchase.
I'm in the process of starting up my own business and since most of our work is done on the phone, it's really important that we bought phones rich in functionality but also cost-effective. These phones satisfied both of these requirements and so far so good. For the price, you can't go wrong.
